A desktop music player for the library already on your machine — no account, no catalogue, no network.
Digi Music Box is our own experiment: a full-size desktop player for locally stored music, built dark so the album artwork carries the interface. It came out of an ordinary frustration — every player worth using had become a storefront for a streaming catalogue.
Streaming apps assume the music lives in the cloud, and they are designed around discovery, subscriptions and recommendation. Nothing was treating a library you already own with the same care, or making a thousand local files feel browsable.
A dark, artwork-led desktop application reading the files already on the machine. Home surfaces recently played, made-for-you and mixes; Library and Browse organise by album, artist and playlist; and the album and playlist views give a track list with duration, artist and album, plus featured-artist rows and related releases — all built from local metadata and embedded art.
